Remote Work in Caribbean is a beautiful thing. Working in the Caribbean sounds amazing with the different beaches and local entertainment. But what are the advantages of working remote in the Caribbean? Some of the advantages are that the commute to work is not applicable, pay increase do to fluctuation in food pricing, and the climate is great for those that want to live in warmer weather.
With workers not having to spend time commuting to work, employees are gaining about ten to fifteen hours per week to their pay and the money spent on commuting are not present such as gas, wear and tear on the vehicle, bus passes, etc. Food cost is also down due to being able to make meals at home versus grabbing meals while out. The Caribbean foreign exchange rate can also help those that are there working remote, who have companies that will provide a pay increase for the declining exchange rate for local currency.
Right now the Caribbean has eight countries that offer digital nomad visas: Anguilla, Antigua * Barbuda, Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Curacao, and Monserrat. The visas are anywhere from 90 days to around two years.
